Regional Utility Company
This project represents the largest and most complex build completed by Robert Roberts, LLC to date and stands as a benchmark for our capabilities in large-scale industrial construction. Spanning approximately 160,000 square feet, this steel-framed, industrial-grade facility was designed and constructed as a centralized operations and emergency response hub for a regional utility company. The building supports continuous operations and rapid response during emergencies, with expansive on-site storage strategically planned to ensure critical resources and equipment remain accessible at all times. The primary operations center was thoughtfully designed to support both productivity and employee well-being. Interior spaces include open office areas with cubicles, private offices for daily operations, a full break room with kitchen, a dedicated fitness area, locker rooms, and quiet nap rooms. These features allow personnel working extended or emergency shifts the opportunity to rest and recover, reducing fatigue-related safety risks and supporting long-term operational readiness. In addition to the main operations building, the project includes a separate service facility dedicated to company vehicles and equipment, complete with its own on-site fuel station. This allows the utility company to maintain, deploy, and refuel assets efficiently without reliance on off-site resources. Environmental stewardship played a key role throughout the project. A retention pond was constructed to manage stormwater runoff and mitigate flooding, while close coordination between construction and operational planning ensured nearby wetlands were protected during both development and ongoing use of the site. This project reflects our ability to deliver large-scale, mission-critical facilities that balance operational efficiency, employee safety, and environmental responsibility. It is a milestone achievement for our team and a defining addition to our construction portfolio.

CADAS First Floor Renovation
The project consisted of completely gutting approximately 11,000 square feet of an older wood framed structure, which was constructed and subsequently renovated several times over its 70+ years of existence. The existing plaster ceilings and multiple building additions, some of which we discovered during demolition, made it especially difficult. Nonetheless, we installed a completely new structural frame, and a completely new foundation, all while the second floor remained occupied. The renovated area remained in service until construction began so structural engineering had to be done in real time in coordination with BACE Structural as demolition progressed. Due to the close relationships with our design partners at Rardin and Carroll Architects we were able to work seamlessly through many unforeseen conditions. The end result is a beautiful new 24-bed detoxification wing that will help to combat the scourge of alcoholism and drug addiction in our community. We are so proud to have been able to contribute to the great work CADAS does to transform lives and bring recovery to thousands of people all throughout our region.

Commercial RenovationsProject Details -
Davis, Kessler & Davis
We began the renovation and build-out of this existing structure in June 2016. The exterior renovation included slope stabilization, site demolition with new sidewalks, city streetscape, barn wood trimming, new storefront windows and doors, and new overlay of asphalt. The interior elements of the 14,167-square-foot building included a completely new layout with finishing all walls with barn wood and specialty millwork as well as a new HVAC system, plumbing, and electrical work. The project was completed on schedule in May 2017.
