Our Story
I began commercial construction management at the age of 19 with C&S Contractors on the Dixon Center project at Lee University. Starting as a laborer I quickly worked my way to labor foreman and by the end of the project I was put in charge of overseeing the installation of the decorative sidewalks around the building. This was my first commercial management project and the one that would lay the groundwork for the future of Robert Roberts LLC.
Fast forward to 2001 and I received my General Contractors License and began working in the residential industry. I found my passion in commercial construction about a year later and spent the next 17 working through various positions on commercial projects throughout Nashville and Chattanooga in an effort to truly understand every step of the process and each person’s role.
This led to the 2015 formation of Robert Roberts LLC where my team and I focus on new commercial construction and renovation projects for small business owners, insurance companies, nonprofits, churches, and other local organizations throughout Chattanooga.

2001
Getting Licensed
Robert obtained his General Contractors License and began providing general contracting services to the residential market in Nashville, TN.
2002
Budgeting Milestone
Contracted management services for his first major commercial real estate project totaling $4.5 million.
2003
Building Experience
Robert moved into a superintendent position at The Strauss Company where he quickly rose through the company holding positions as superintendent, project manager, estimator and Vice President of Pre-Construction Services.
2015
Branching Out
Robert Roberts, LLC was born and completed a diverse array of reconnections and new construction throughout the Chattanooga & North Georgia area within its first year.

Hixson Presbyterian Church
Robert, I want to thank you on behalf of Hixson Presbyterian Church for the project your company recently finished. The performance of your organization delivered a facility with high quality, while finishing the project on schedule with attention to budget.
The extensive experience of the construction superintendent and his understanding of the project and construction processes helped us develop innovative solutions that saved time and money. His oversight of the project resulted in a quality facility with minimum punch list items. Since this was an addition to an existing facility, he worked with the staff to coordinate construction around the scheduled activities with minimal interruption. And when the existing facility had to be breached to connect utilities, he made sure the facility was returned in good condition. The project manager was diligent in following up on cost savings and material delivery, as well as running interference with subcontractors to support the schedule. Even with some scope growth the project came in less than 2 percent over the original contract cost. We are a nonprofit organization and sales tax exempt. The process used allowed us to receive the benefit of this exemption which saved us over $50,000.
Robert, we appreciate the times you got involved when it seemed we faced hurdles that were going to delay the project. At the same time, it was clear that your team is strong and handled most issues without relying on you to solve the problem.
Finally, I told Neal and Michael that the completion of the project was bittersweet to me because we had such a good relationship with your team. We developed friendships with your team as well as some of the subcontractors, which speaks well of the type of partnership you develop with your clients. I have told several people the best decision we made on this project was selecting Robert Roberts as our general contractor.
